You Will Need
- White spell candle (other candle colours you could use can be found here)
- Green spell candle (for peace & harmony)
- Clear quartz (amplifies intentions)
- Paper & pen
- Bowl of water
The Ritual
- Begin by creating a sacred space for your spellwork. This could be at your altar, lighting some incense, playing music or centering yourself by taking a few deep breaths
- Light the white candle for purity and balance & green cande for love and harmony, beside one another with about a 10cm gap
- Hold the clear quartz in your hands and close your eyes. Visualise the energy of the eclipse in Libra filling you with a sense of peace, balance and harmony
- Write down on a piece of paper any areas of your life where you seek greater balance, harmony, or improved relationships. This could bein your personal life, relationships, career, or any other aspect that feels relevant to you.
- Fold the paper and place it between the two candles, allowing the energy of the flames to infuse your intentions
- Dip your fingers into the bowl of water and sprinkle a few drops over the paper, this purifies the intention
- Spend a few moments meditating the qualities of balance and harmony you wish to cultivate in your life. Visualise these energies manifesting in your reality with the help of the eclipse
- When you are ready, extinguish the candles and place the paper somewhere safe, such as under your pillow or on your altar, where it can continue to receive the energy of the eclipse
- Express gratitude for the guidance and support you've received from the universe and trust your intentions are being heard and manifested
Lunar Eclipse Sweet Dreams Ritual
Self care is important during the lunar eclipse, as it is a time of great power and transformation.
You will need
- Altar bell or Rosemary Smoke Cleansing Stick
- Cauldron or mixing bowl
- Catnip - protection while sleeping
- Jasmine Buds - inducing sleep
- Lavender - inducing peaceful sleep
- Peppermint - protection & peaceful sleep
- Mullein - protection from nightmares
- Rosemary - prevents nightmares
- Thyme - reduces nightmares & induces restful sleep
- Valerian Root - sedative & protection while sleeping
- Mojo bag
- Set up and make room on your altar or working space for the above tools.
- Cleanse yourself, altar, space and bedroom by ringing your altar bell or burning your Rosemary Smoke Cleansing Stick while reciting:
“Malicious energies, spirits & intentions must leave”
- Hold each herb in your hands one at a time while asking for its assistance with the herbs magickal correspondence you wish to utilise before placing it into your cauldron or mixing bowl. For example:
“Lavender, aid me in inducing peaceful sleep”
- Once all the herbs have been placed into your cauldron or mixing bowl one by one, close your eyes and mix the herbs all together with your hands while envisioning their properties working to achieve your desired result. Take as long as you feel is right to work your intention through.
- Once you feel like the herbs have been charged with your intention, open your eyes and place the herbs into your mojo bag.
- Now, you can place the mojo bag under your pillow or beside your bed. This sweet dreams mojo bag spell is effective until you can no longer smell the scent of the herbs when you sniff the bag.
