Eastern White Cedar is a sacred tree that has many magical qualities. It is not actually a cedar, but a cyprus tree. It is effective as a smudge for protection and clearing and has symbolic connection to the element of fire and the planet Jupiter, so makes a useful offering in rituals involving these aspects. Like the Yew, this tree symbolises eternal life and this aspect makes it an important addition to workings of banishing, success, and magical power.

This particular symbolism was used by ancient Druids, Norse people and in ancient Greece, where it was associated with Persephone.  It also has a great woody aroma that leaves your space feeling closer to nature. The ash of the burned shavings can be used to consecrate and purify your tools as well.

Cedar provides grounding and joy when involved with personal transformation whether internal (new values, attitudes, beliefs) or external (new job, house, birth, death) and it allows you to ‘be’ in the present moment.

Cedar is a medicine of protection. Cedar trees are very old, wise and powerful spirits. Cedar is often used to cleanse a home or apartment when first moving in, inviting unwanted spirits to leave and protecting a person, place or object from unwanted influences. It works both as a purifier and as a way to attract good energy in your direction. Remove negative energy in your home. This is a great alternative to white sage.

Easy 30 Day Returns


We accept returns within 30 days of your order being shipped to you. We are happy to accept most full priced items back for a refund*, store credit or exchange within 30 days of purchase.


  • *Pre-order items (including shoes), items from discounted orders and sale items are not eligible for a refund and can be returned for an exchange or store credit. Only full priced, non discounted orders are eligible for a refund. 
  • Returns must be lodged through our return portal. If you do not select to use a prepaid label through the portal, please include a note that specifies: full name, order number and/or return number.
    Any returns received outside our portal will be processed as a store credit.
  • Items must be in original condition. No tears, marks, scuffs, animal fur, makeup, or cigarette smells. Shoes must be in original boxes with all packaging. Do not ruin shoe boxes by taping labels to them. We reserve the right to charge a box fee in this instance of $10.00. 
  • International orders of shoes can receive a credit or refund. If you wish to exchange please place an order for the new size and then return the original pair of shoes for a refund. If your order was not eligible for a refund, only credit, we will still refund upon receiving your return if you have purchased an alternate size of that item. Simply order the new size, open a return of a credit, and add a note in with your return stating you have reordered with the new order number included.
  • Items must be returned in as new condition fit for resale.
  • Makeup, intimates, some underwear, piercing jewellery, swimwear, herbs, hair dye or beauty products cannot be returned for health and hygiene reasons.
  • Final Sale Items cannot be returned. These items are clearly labelled on the product page in red lettering so you know you are about to grab an amazing bargain, but you will need to choose carefully!
  • If you have a problem with an item we will always work with you to resolve it fairly. Please read the section below "I got my order and something's wrong". When you have a major problem with a product, you have the right to ask for your choice of a replacement, store credit, or refund.

Small Cedar bundle

Although SUPER tightly bound, taking me forever to keep lit, the quality of the cleansing stick was amazing! Once I loosened the bundle, the smoky-sweet aroma was beautiful! I’ll have to get the bigger one next time
