This kit has been constructed with care by Tragic Witches to give you everything you need to celebrate Mabon, along with important witchcraft tools that can be used over and over again. We have included Mabon specific candles, herbs and resins to allow you to celebrate without having to spend a fortune buying individual ingredients for your offerings and resins. We added a cauldron as an optional extra as we are mindful of budget and want to provide value without duplicating items you may already own. (Although some would say you can never have too many cauldrons!)
Mabon, or the Autumn Equinox, marks the second harvest of the year and is traditionally a celebration of the second harvest when farmers gathered hearty foods. Mabon is associated with balance and harmony as this sabbat occurs when the night and day are at equal length. Mabon is celebrated to thank the earth for the abundance and gifts of nature. This year Mabon falls on the 20th of March for the Southern Hemisphere, and the 23rd of September for the Northern Hemisphere.
Mabon is a perfect time for connecting with your spirit guides, ancestors and the universe. Mabon is a time of balance, of light and the dark. Use this time of balance between night and day to pay tribute to the Dark Goddess, the crone aspect of the Triple Goddess, not a being of evil but rather the opposite aspect of the light.
We have curated this kit focusing Protection and Healing rituals, but the tools and ingredients included can be used for many other types of Mabon Rituals!
