These Mosasaur Teeth are between 66 - 99 million years old and were found in Morocco. This marine reptile was one of the most dominant Cretaceous, being powerful simmers with peg-shaped teeth.
Mosasaurs comprise a group of extinct, large marine reptiles from the Late Cretaceous. Their first fossil remains were discovered in a limestone quarry at Maastricht on the Meuse in 1764. Belonging to the order Squamata, which encompasses lizards and snakes, Mosasaurs shared a body structure reminiscent of present-day monitor lizards (varanids) but possessed a more stretched and streamlined form for efficient aquatic travel. Their limbs were shortened and their paddles were created by the webbing between their long fingers and toes. Their tails were wide and provided the force for their movement.
You will receive a small card with this Mosasaur Jaw that certifies the fossil has been observed by a qualified geologist with paleontological experience and is verified to be a genuine fossil.
You will receive one Mosasaur Jaw Fossil approx. 17cm long x 11-12cm wide.
