How to Remove a Lip Piercing Ball: A Quick Guide

We understand that changing your lip piercing jewellery can be a bit daunting. Here's a simple guide to help you remove a lip piercing ball safely:

1. Start by washing your hands with antibacterial soap and rinsing them with warm water. This ensures cleanliness and reduces the risk of infection.

2. Lather your fingertips again and use the lather to clean the skin around your piercing on both sides of your lip. Rinse with warm water and pat dry with a fresh paper towel.

3. Gently grasp the bar of your labret stud with your front teeth, taking care not to bite down hard. Apply just enough pressure to hold the bar in place, keeping the disc behind your teeth.

4. With the use of gloves, hold the bead, gem, or spike on the outside of the piercing between your thumb and index finger. Twist it to the left until it starts to loosen, unscrewing it until it comes off entirely.

5. Release the bar from between your teeth and reach inside your mouth with your thumb and index finger to pull the disc and remove the bar from the piercing hole.

6. Rinse your mouth with antiseptic mouthwash to clean the hole, ensuring proper hygiene.

7. Wash your jewellery with antibacterial soap and warm water, dry it with a paper towel, and store it in a small, plastic ziplock bag until you're ready to wear it again.
