Crack your own geode!
These whole geodes are such fun to crack open! These are dug up whole and left to you to break open to reveal the sparkly clear quartz crystal inside. You will receive one randomly selected geode - crystals inside will vary - each is unique. Some may be sparkly fine crystals and others may have larger chunky points. As these are un-cracked, what they have inside is a mystery - it is possible for the geode to be solid inside. As these are unprocessed we have no way to know what is inside and we select randomly for you.
Clear quartz can do it all. It's a great starter crystal because it is incredibly versatile and has wide-ranging benefits. It encourages thought clarity and heightens the purpose in your heart and mind. It helps to establish a strong, clear connection with what you desire making it a wonderful crystal to use during manifestation rituals. A quartz geode will bring beauty and balancing energies into your home. The hollow cave like shape allows the amplified energy of the quartz clusters to be released slowly as needed. Geodes are useful for protection and useful for spiritual growth.
How To Crack Your Geode
There are many ways to open a geode. Whichever you chose, please wear safety goggles and insure kids and pets are not in line of fire. Place the geode in an old sock to stop pieces flying around the room. Here are 3 ways we like:
- Score the geode first: using a flat-head screwdriver (or cold chisel) and a hammer, make a line of marks around the centre of the geode. Tap lightly with a hammer, increasing the strength of taps until the geode cracks open.
- Find a “nook” in your geode. Place a flat-head screwdriver or cold chisel into the “nook” and give it a whack with your hammer. This method may take a few tries.
- Just smash the whole thing with a hammer. It’s probably not going to break into two nice halves, but sometimes you just can’t wait to see the beauty inside.
