These are real wild boar teeth that have been cleaned. Each is unique.
It is thought that worshipping the mark of the wild boar was linked to worshipping a goddess similar to Freya, the later Scandinavian goddess of land and fertility who was thought of as the mother of the gods and was sometimes called Nerthus, Herthe, Gerthe or Gerd. To the ancient Celts, the boar was thought to have great sexual power and was regarded as a symbol of fertility, abundance and future prosperity.
These teeth have been collected from found specimens or hunter's cast-offs in the forests of Europe.
Please note that these teeth are in good condition and have been cleaned, however since these are natural specimens, there may be minor defects such as discolouration, war marks, and other oddities.
Measurements:
- Small: teeth measure approx. 1.5cm long.
- Medium: teeth measure approx. 2.5cm long.
- Large: teeth measure approx. 3-3.5cm long.
